Marco Fumagalli has dedicated his entire career to private equity, with a sustained focus on the healthcare sector. He spent fourteen years as a Global Partner and CEO of the Italian Division at 3i Group, one of Europe’s leading private equity firms, where he managed investments in both private and publicly listed healthcare companies, including Vis Pharmaceuticals, Newron, and Novuspharma.

As the founder of Continental Investment Partners and a Partner at VITA Continental, Marco has active responsibility for new investments and portfolio management. 

Stefano Alfonsi

Stefano Alfonsi has dedicated his entire career to leading MedTech companies at the highest level. He began at Johnson & Johnson/DePuy, where he rose to Worldwide Vice President of Marketing, before assuming a series of CEO mandates that have defined his standing in the industry. At LimaCorporate, he grew revenue from €50 million to €117 million. At Corin Group, he scaled the business from €50 million to €200 million over eight years through four strategic acquisitions. He subsequently served as CEO of Aleva Neurotherapeutics and, most recently, Elos Medtech, where he was appointed Chairman of the Board in 2021 before serving as President and CEO from 2022 to 2025.

As a Partner at VITA Continental, he focuses particularly on MedTech founders and management teams. 

Carlo Sgarbi

Carlo Sgarbi spent more than 20 years in investment banking at Banca IMI, the investment banking arm of Intesa Sanpaolo Group, working across Global Markets, DCM, and M&A before becoming CEO and CIO of a major Swiss family office. During this period, he also founded a regulated asset management company and led a £55 million IPO on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM market. In 2013, he co-founded Continental Investment Partners with Marco Fumagalli.

As Managing Partner of Continental Investment Partners and a Partner at VITA Continental, Carlo leads investor relations and fundraising activities across the platform.

Marcello Nesta began his career at a corporate finance advisory firm, raising debt and equity capital for SMEs across a range of sectors. In 2017, he joined Continental Investment Partners as an Investment Manager. Since then, he has worked closely with portfolio companies, serving as CFO and a board member at RanD, AlfaMed, and Keros Digital, and as President of Happy Friends until its successful exit to Arcaplanet.

As a Partner at VITA Continental, Marcello leads new investments and portfolio management across the platform.

She now works as a consultant and founder, having established IDM+ to support medical device and healthcare companies — from startups to large corporations — in structuring and executing the commercialisation of their products in France.

A bioengineer by training, he served as Vice President of the Cardiac Rhythm Management Business Unit at LivaNova, where he led commercial strategy and strategic marketing across international markets. He subsequently joined Boston-based MyAir as Chief Commercial and Regulatory Officer, supporting the development of breath and sleep-apnoea monitoring systems. Today, he serves as CEO of SPS, a company developing innovative technologies for spinal surgery, and as Chairman of EP Solutions, which specialises in non-invasive cardiac mapping. He is also a board member of WISE, a MedTech company developing implantable leads for neuromonitoring and neuromodulation. Throughout his career, Angelo has developed extensive expertise in commercialising advanced medical devices and building international commercial organisations across Europe, the United States, Japan, and emerging markets.
